The ask

LBHM (Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Masyarakat), a legal-aid organisation, needed to explain how cyber bullying lands on minority groups in Indonesia — LGBTIQ people in particular. Show the harm, build empathy, and do not turn anyone’s life into spectacle.

What we did

  • Research — data and personal stories, shaped into a script and storyboard with LBHM and subject-matter experts.
  • Illustration and motion graphics designed to represent diversity honestly and safely.
  • Reviews throughout with stakeholders, for accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
  • A second film — an explainer for the Crisis Response Mechanism (CRM) consortium, commissioned after the first.

What happened

Two films now used in education and advocacy. The first one was good enough that they asked for another, which is our favourite kind of feedback.
