This video explains the TeKSI project overview and rationale.
TeKSI and Sumba’s seaweed
Sumba, known for its beautiful landscapes and coastal areas, presents a significant opportunity for seaweed cultivation, a key economic activity that can improve the livelihoods of local communities. However, there are challenges, including the potential negative impact of seaweed farms on coral reefs.
The TeKSI program in Sumba focuses on developing sustainable seaweed farming practices to boost local economies while protecting the marine environment.
